“We are a small family run Suffolk Stud located on the outskirts of Ballarat. We began using Advantage feeders mineral lick attachments 3 yrs ago to assist in time saving and reduce product wastage.

The benefits were noticed immediately, once our sheep had access to ad lib minerals it assisted to stimulate feed intake in both the ewes and lambs. Combined with the lick feeders we have been able to wean our lambs earlier with increased average weights.

Using the Mineral lick attachment instead of the previously used lick blocks we have significantly reduced our product wastage by keeping the minerals off the ground away from the mud and out of the weather.

I find them versatile to mount and we have them located on the lick feeders and star post both options have been reliable and sturdy. The hopper size is large allowing ample storage away from the elements.”

“I am running around 4000 ewes in drought times. I wanted to feed the sheep faba beans and thought the feeders were a good way to regulate the supply over weeks with no need to go out every few days.
